Why are hardworking, educated females of high integrity ped over for jobs these days?

It has been my experience that sleazy, uneducated, lazy women are given jobs and promotions based on how much they put out for the boss. If you are honest and work harder than everyone else, you are considered a threat and usually the first one out the door during a layoff, based on how much your peers like you and slander you behind your back. Aren't the bosses smart enough to figure out what is going on?
