My best friend died and his widow 'gave' me his boat - what doent do I need to show she can give it to me?

she has to go to the Secretary of stat and file ownership of the boat with the death certificate and you can put it in your name at the same time with there if you go with here. the state will charge 2 title transfer fee one from her and one from her to you. if she already has her name on it then the only thing she will have to do is go to the Secretary of state with you to release his info off the title when she sign off and shows his death certificate. then you pay title fee and its yours. or you can green sheet it as a abandon boat but thins way she can always come back and say I want it back because she can protest it ownership later on. if you do it the first way both going to the sec stat then she cant do that ever.
