On 12-31-07 Father Time's an old man! 1-1-08 Baby Time takes over. Who gave birth to this baby?

Ever wonder about this? Just before 12 midnight on New Year's Eve during the countdown to January 1st, 2008 we see Father Time old & tired getting ready to retire permantly. At 12 Midnight we see Baby Time coming on the scene to pick up where Father Time left off. There has never been mentioned a Mother Time. Never have we seen her. So, where did the baby come from, who gave birth to Baby Time? Is that an illigitiment baby? Anyone have an idea on all this?
