I need to know the michigan laws about piercings in the dietary workplace.?

i work ata retirement home. i just go the other side of my lip pierced. my manger says she doesnt care if i wear a bandaid over it. But says theyre are regulations about the piecing falling in the food? but how can that be if i have a bandaid on it. any help on finding info about this would be amazing thanks!
