Do LDS Mormons accept the blood of Jesus on the cross as absolute forgiveness of sins, without works?
I know the answer because I have studied both the Mormon and Jehovah Witnesses belief systems. The answer to this can be more complex but it's really simple, to be considered a Christian you must accept that the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross is the absolute forgiveness of sin. There was a reason He died and He didn't die for nothing. Grace comes after you believe in the blood. Most organized Christian religions accept this truth, that includes Protestants, Lutherans, Catholics, Methodists, Baptists, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, non-denominational Christians. I have never met a Mormon or a Jehovah Witness that has confessed that when Jesus died on the cross that it was finished as far as sin. That doesn't mean you accept this truth and then continue to do what you know is wrong, it means that we can't do anything ourselves to get rid of sin. We are all sinners and will sin to the day we die but Praise the Lord that he died for us and all that we have to do is accept this free gift. Amen
